WHAT KIND OF POWER DOES IT TAKE
The FlashCAM-880WF+ battery pack is powered by a Solar Panel. It will operate indefinitely, (in low to medium use areas), with about two hours of sun per day. An AC wall adapter battery charger is included with the system as a backup.

HOW DOES IT WORK
The FlashCam-880WF+ senses motion up to 100 feet away. When motion is detected the system starts taking photographs. A bright flash goes off (if it is dark), and a loud voice message warns the intruder to "leave the area now" and that photographs are being taken.

WHAT DOES THE MESSAGE SAY
Whatever you want. Your message can be up to 14 seconds long.

HOW MANY PICTURES DOES IT TAKE
You can set up the system to take 1, 2, 3 up to 4 pictures each time the system detects motion. The 2.0 Gigabyte memory card (included) will hold 376 photos at 12 Megapixel resolution.

HOW DO YOU FIND OUT IF PICTURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN
With the Key Fob controller. Point the Key fob at the system and press the button. The FlashCAM-880WF+ will report the number of pictures taken and status of the battery pack by issuing a series of beeps.

HOW DOES THE WIRELESS DOWNLOAD WORK TO RETRIEVE THE PICTURES
A wireless device server & Software are included in the FlashCAM-880WF+. A Windows 2000/XP/Vista based laptop can access the device server via 802.11 protocol. The range of the wireless connection is about 25 metres.

HOW DO USERS MOUNT THE SYSTEM
The system comes with the Mounting Bracket. This is a very heavy-duty and can be mounted to utility poles or wooden supports using lag bolts; or to brick/cement walls using anchor bolts. A padlock and chain are supplied to prevent theft access to the bolts.

HOW DO YOU KEEP IT FROM BEING STOLEN or BROKEN
The system is rugged. The case is 16-gauge steel and the covering over the camera lens and flash is 3/8 inch bullet-resistant Lexan. We recommend installing the system at leat 5 metres above ground and using anti-climb paint with further obstacles to keep petential offenders at bay.
